Books have always been one of the most beautiful ways to understand the strength, vulnerability, humour, and resilience of women. Through stories, we meet women who fight, love fiercely, rebuild themselves, challenge norms, and sometimes simply choose themselves, and each of these journeys leaves a mark on us as readers.
Some of the most memorable lines I’ve read about women have come from books that celebrate independence, friendship, courage, and the quiet power of being unapologetically yourself. From the timeless wisdom of Jane Austen in Pride and Prejudice to the modern voices of authors like Kristin Hannah, and Colleen Hoover, literature continues to give us words that remind us how powerful women truly are.
This International Women’s Day, I wanted to celebrate some of those lines that stayed with me, the ones that made me pause, smile, think, or feel understood. Stories have a way of reminding us that women are not just characters on a page; they are leaders, dreamers, survivors, creators, and forces of change.
And if books have taught me anything, it’s this: women have always been powerful: sometimes quietly, sometimes loudly, but always undeniably.
Happy Women’s Day. 💛📚

What a thoughtful and beautiful reflection. Books really do have a quiet way of revealing the many shades of a woman’s strength — her courage, tenderness, and resilience. I loved the way you captured how these stories stay with us and remind us of the power women have always carried within them.🌸📚 Happy women’s day to you💐

I read several Barbara kingsolver books. One of my favorite authors.
