Rating Popular Books

When it comes to popular books, there’s always a certain expectation going in. Like you’re about to read something life-changing just because everyone else loved it. But reading is such a personal experience, and hype doesn’t always translate into connection. So, I picked up a few widely loved titles and rated these popular books purely based on how they made me feel with no pressure and no overthinking.

From absolute favourites that I couldn’t stop thinking about to ones that just didn’t quite click for me, here’s my honest take on four very popular reads—Pride and Prejudice, Norwegian Wood, The Alchemist, and Archer’s Voice—all wrapped up in short, simple one-liners. Because sometimes, that’s all a book really leaves you with, a feeling you can sum up in a sentence.

    1. So happy you connected with the ratings! Always feels nice when someone gets exactly what I meant! Would love to know if there are any other books you felt the same way about ✨📖
