5 Books I Wish I Had Read When I Was Younger

There are some books that stay with you long after you turn the last page, and then there are books that make you think, I wish I had found this sooner. These are the books that feel like life lessons wrapped in stories, books that could have offered comfort, perspective, and a little wisdom when I was younger.

Looking back, these five books are the ones I truly wish I had read earlier. Each of them taught me something different about life, love, loss, and growth.

These 5 Books are

A Manual for Living
โ€ข a beautiful guide to perspective and mindful living
โ€ข teaches calmness, clarity, and self-awareness

Before the Coffee Gets Cold
โ€ข about time, regrets, and second chances
โ€ข emotional, comforting, and quietly heartbreaking

Tuesdays with Morrie
โ€ข full of timeless life lessons
โ€ข love, family, purpose, and what truly matters

The Lovely Bones
โ€ข a moving story about grief and healing
โ€ข emotional, intense, and deeply human

It Just Had to Be You
โ€ข love, growth, and self-discovery
โ€ข reminds you that relationships help us grow too

Sometimes books find us exactly when we need them, but a part of me still wishes my younger self had these stories a little sooner. Maybe they would have made certain phases of life feel lighter, warmer, and a little easier to understand.

    1. So happy to hear that ๐Ÿ’• Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Sending a big hug right back to Argentina ๐Ÿค—

    1. One of those books that stays with you forever ๐Ÿ’› Hope you loved it as much as I did.

  1. I read Ray Bradburyโ€™s Fahrenheit 451 about a decade ago. Itโ€™s a great book but I think it would have had more of an impact on me had I read it in my teens.

    1. Totally agree! Fahrenheit 451 hits differently depending on when you read it. Feels like one you appreciate more when read earlier. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. I have read two of these. Tuesdays with Morrie and The Lovely Bones. The others Iโ€™ll be checking out. Your recommendations are worthwhile, but I may be killed in an avalanche of books (Mt. TBR) from too many sitting on my bedside table. What a way to go! ~Nan

    1. Haha, TBR is truly every readerโ€™s biggest struggle! Iโ€™m so glad youโ€™ve already read Tuesdays with Morrie and The Lovely Bones. Hope you enjoy the others too whenever your book pile allows!
