Book Haul

Recent Book Haul

There’s something about a book haul that just feels like pure happiness (even if my TBR pile is already judging me from the corner). My recent haul was one of those moments where I walked in just to browse and walked out with nine books, because clearly, self-control was not invited.

Out of these, two books are actually re-buys for me, and I have zero regrets. I had read them earlier as digital copies, but when I spotted them in paperback, I just had to bring them home. Because let’s be honest, reading on a screen and holding a physical book are two completely different experiences.

The two books I happily re-bought are:

Both of these are such comforting reads for me, and I already know I’m going to enjoy revisiting them, this time with actual pages to flip.

And then come the seven new additions to my ever-growing (and slightly out-of-control) TBR pile, that are now proudly sitting on my shelf and silently waiting for their turn (and maybe judging me a little for buying more books before finishing the old ones).

This haul feels like the perfect mix, authors I love reading, romance, a little drama, and an easy escape.

Now comes the real challenge of deciding what to read first. Because if you’re anything like me, you already know that buying books and actually reading them are two completely different hobbies (and somehow, both equally enjoyable).

Let me know which one you think I should pick up first!

  1. Sorry, we can’t give you advice because that’s not the kind of literature we read. Nevertheless, we find it interesting how you will review these books. We love great reviews of books we wouldn’t enjoy. That’s the easiest way to read about books we wouldn’t read.

    🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

    1. That’s actually such a lovely way to look at it! Sometimes reviews are the best way to experience books we may never personally pick up. Thank you for reading and sharing your thoughts!

  2. Sounds like a fun haul. You are so right, buying books and reading them are two different pleasures. I have soooo many books waiting on my kindle and bookshelves waiting to be read, and that makes me happy, just know they are there waiting for me.

    1. Exactly! Buying books and reading books really do feel like two separate hobbies sometimes. There’s something so comforting about having a pile of unread books waiting for us.

    1. That actually sounds perfect! I could definitely use a light and funny read right now. Thanks for the recommendation!
