Just like every month, I make a TBR with the best intentions. And every month, I remind myself that a TBR is more of a suggestion than an actual rule. (Because apparently, I cannot be trusted around books.)
August, however, turned out to be a pretty good reading month. I started with eight books on my original TBR, and ended up reading nine books only.
There was a little bit of everything in my August reading, from romance, suspense, sports romance, action, emotional stories, and, of course, the kind of books that make me say, โJust one more chapterโ at an entirely unreasonable hour.

- The Witness by Nora Roberts
- The Score by Elle Kennedy

Overall, August was a pretty satisfying reading month. I managed to stick to my original TBR, discovered a few books that I really enjoyed, and still managed to squeeze in an unexpected read. I would call that a win.
