October was a really good reading month for me! I started with a list of eight books on my TBR, hoping to get through all of them. I ended up reading a few more books along the way (because apparently, having a TBR doesn’t stop me from picking up something new). So, I finished October with 12 books read in total. Here’s a little look at what I planned to read and what I actually ended up reading.
Original October TBR
- Open Season by Linda Howard
- A Civil Contract by Georgette Heyer
- Cold Malice by Toni Anderson
- Welcome to Temptation by Jennifer Crusie
- Burn by Suzanne Wright
- The McGregors: Alan & Grant by Nora Roberts
- Murder List by Julie Garwood
- Whispers in the Dark by Maya Banks
Added During October Reads
- Marry Me Not by Gabrielle Sands
- Breaking His Rules by Layla Hagen
- Ghost of a Chance by Jayne Ann Krentz
- Baiting the Maid of Honor by Tessa Bailey
Reading Goal Check
2026 Goal: 150 Books
January: 8
February: 9
March: 12
April: 14
May: 15
June: 14
July: 14
August: 9
September: 11
October: 12
Total read: 118
Remaining: 32
So that’s 12 books in October, and I am quite happy with how the month turned out.
I love it when I manage to finish my planned TBR, but I also love those unexpected reads that sneak in along the way. Some months the TBR is more of a suggestion than an actual plan (and October was definitely one of those months!).
