If there’s one place that feels like “home” inside my home, it’s my bookshelf. So, welcome to The Reading Lane — where I share my reads, my reviews, and the little stories that books quietly leave behind.

Before we get into the serious book talk, I thought: what better way to start this journey than by letting you peek into the one corner of my world that always sparks joy?

Yes, we’re doing a Bookshelf Tour of Me — because let’s be honest, our shelves say more about us than we admit.

My Genre Preferences
If you flip through my shelf, you’ll notice I have phases.
Some readers have mood swings. I have genre swings.

• Romance Read – my all-time comfort food.
• Historical Romance – my weekly dose (almost!).
• Self-Help & Inspirational Reads – for when I really have to (book club themes!)
• Mystery/Thriller – only if there’s a dose of romance in it.
• Occasional Fantasy – only when I’m ready to escape adulting.

You’ll always find these categories and many more living together peacefully, like a slightly dysfunctional but loving joint family.

My Reading Quirks
I have some habits that other readers might call “quirks,” but I call them personality traits:

• I read multiple books at once, depending on mood, laziness levels, and how much emotional damage I can handle that day.
• I do dog-ear pages from time to time but not always.
• I rarely highlight anything.
• I rearrange my bookshelf whenever life feels messy — very therapeutic, highly recommend.

So Why Am I Sharing This?
Because The Reading Lane isn’t just a space to review books — it’s a place to talk about the experience of reading, the comfort of a good story, and the tiny rituals that make books magical.
