Books I Finished… & Books That Finished Me

If there’s one thing my reading life has taught me, it’s this:
Some books you finish… and some books finish you.

Today, I’m looking back at all the books I’ve read till date (1000+ btw)— the comforting ones I breezed through, and the unforgettable ones that left me emotionally blinking at the ceiling.
Here are the two stacks that define my reading journey so far.

Books I Finished
These books were smooth, comforting, engaging, and easy to fall into — the kind you sit with, relax into, and just enjoy without emotional side effects.

Kulti by Mariana Zapata – A patient, warm slow-burn that felt like a long, cozy exhale.

Dream Man by Linda Howard – Fast-paced, fun, and thoroughly entertaining.

Honor’s Splendour by Julie Garwood – Soft historical romance with charm in every chapter.

Archer’s Voice by Mia Sheridan – Emotional in a gentle way — heartfelt but steady.

Annie’s Song by Catherine Anderson – Healing, sweet, and beautifully written.

Books That Finished Me
Ah, the dramatic ones — the books that didn’t just tell a story but left an impact I still think about. These are the ones that rearranged feelings, taught something deep, or simply hit with surprising intensity.

Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips – A powerful, unforgettable story that left a permanent mark. Finished me in the best, most emotional way.

Resisting Temptation by K.C. Lynn – Intense, raw, and absolutely consuming. This book took my feelings and did not return them gently.

Dream a Little Dream by Susan Elizabeth Phillips – Painful, hopeful, beautifully heavy. A book that stays long after the last page.

Just Listen by Sarah Dessen – Soft but deeply impactful — one of those stories that quietly shifts something inside you.

Then Came You by Lisa Kleypas – Dramatic, emotional, and so beautifully written. Definitely a book that finished me and then hugged me.

Some books comfort you.
Some change you.
Some leave you to recover.
And honestly, I love all of them for the roles they’ve played in my reading life.
