There’s something oddly satisfying about looking back at your reading year and seeing the numbers, the highlights, and the stories that stayed with you long after the last page. As 2025 comes to a close, I found myself scrolling through my Goodreads stats, smiling at the memories attached to each book
This year wasn’t just about how much I read, but how deeply I felt while reading. I had set a goal of reading 100 books this year, and surpassing it felt incredibly rewarding, not because of the number, but because it meant I consistently made time for something I truly love.
My 2025 Reading Stat
According to Goodreads, here’s how my year looked on paper:
Total books read: 153
Total pages read: 51,757
Average book length: 338 pages

Books That Stood Out This Year
Out of the 153 books I read, some stories left a deeper mark than others. These were the books I found myself thinking about long after finishing them and even returning to.
King of Wrath by Ana Huang
Wild Side by Elsie Silver
Dream Man by Linda Howard
Authors I Loved Reading in 2025
Every reading year has its favourite authors, like the ones you keep reaching for without hesitation. In 2025, these writers completely owned my bookshelf:
Ana Huang
Nadia Lee
Maya Alden
This year reaffirmed something I’ve always known. I gravitate towards stories that make me feel. Romance that isn’t just about love, but about growth, healing, and vulnerability. Books that don’t need to be perfect, but honest.
I reread favourites, discovered new comfort reads, and leaned into genres that feel like home. As I step into a new reading year, I’m carrying these stories with me along with a growing TBR, of course. If 2025 taught me anything, it’s that there’s always room for more books, more emotions.
Here’s to another year of stories that stay with us.
With love and lots of stories,
