Every year, a handful of books quietly make their way into your heart and refuse to leave. 2025 was one of those reading years for me. Out of the 152 books that I read, many found a permanent place in my heart, but these five stood out so much that I ended up rereading them within the same year.
1. King of Wrath by Ana Huang
Ana Huang knows how to write powerful, intense romances, and King of Wrath is proof of that. A marriage of convenience trope done right, this book is all about control, power, vulnerability, and the slow unravelling of two guarded hearts.

2. Wild Side by Elsie Silver
Wild Side is like a warm hug wrapped in small-town charm and emotional honesty. Elsie Silver has a beautiful way of writing relationships that feel grounded and real, even when the chemistry is intense.

3. The Pucking Wrong Number by C.R. Jane
Fun, chaotic, and unexpectedly emotional, The Pucking Wrong Number was such a pleasant surprise. What starts as a light-hearted, accidental connection quickly turns into something deeper.

4. Kulti by Mariana Zapata
Kulti is a slow burn in the truest sense and thatโs exactly why it works so beautifully. Mariana Zapata takes her time building the story, the characters, and the emotional connection, and the payoff is worth every page.

5. Dream Man by Linda Howard
A classic that still hits just right. Dream Man has that signature Linda Howard intensity with suspense, romance, and strong characters all rolled into one gripping story.

These five books defined my reading year in 2025. Together, they reflect exactly what I love about reading: stories that make you feel, escape, and occasionally fall in love with fictional characters a little too hard.
If youโre looking for book recommendations for 2025, or simply searching for your next great romance read, I hope this list helps you find something youโll love as much as I did.
With love and lots of stories,
