Just Another Bookworm

In this non-stop world of being busy, there is something that I always try to make some time for. Books. A good book is the source of joy for me, something which takes me far away from this busy and depressing life and into the imaginative place of people where either there’s magic or a hero to save the damsel in distress.

My love for books started, as I am sure it did for many of you as well, with the Harry Potter series. It’s been 15 years now since I first read those books, and since then I have reread them so many times. Please don’t judge. It’s Harry Potter!! It does a have separate space in my heart. And so do some more books by authors like Julie Garwood, K. C. Lynn, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Lisa Kleypas, and so many more.

Life did get busy in between, and somehow, I had (almost) stopped reading. I am happy I decided to get back on the wagon, and I can’t even explain the happy feeling I get now whenever I pick up a book.

As an avid reader, I had found the perfect solution to keep track of all the books that I read on Goodreads. It is the only app which I still use to explore, track and discuss books. From tracking my reading progress to connecting with the fellow readers, this place was a game changer. And as per Goodreads, I have read 1020 books till date. Though I am pretty sure I have read a few more, before using Goodreads, so must have forgotten to add them.

It feels surreal that one book could change the course of life. But I am so glad it did.
